DETROIT – Eight unlicensed online casinos received cease-and-desist letters from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) on Friday. The MGCB wants to ensure that all online blackjack and casino play in the state are issued by licensed operators.
The eight unlicensed online casinos that received the letters are listed below.
- Aussie Play
- CryptoGames
- FortuneJack
- Hugewin Casino
- My Stake Casino
- Play at Harry’s Casino
- RuneChat
- Slots Garden
These online casinos violate the Lawful Internet Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and also multiple provisions under the Michigan Penal Code. While Michigan online casinos must implement consumer safeguards, the unregulated casinos above are not required.
MGCB Protecting Their Players With Illegal Casino Crackdown
The MGCB make player protection and fair play a priority for online casino gambling in Michigan. Unregulated sites can’t guarantee players integrity through game testing or responsible gaming protocols, making it impossible for players to know if they have a fair shake playing blackjack or other games.
“These unauthorized websites often appear sophisticated and legitimate, but they operate outside of Michigan law,” said Executive Director Henry Williams of the MGCB. “When players gamble on unlicensed platforms, they’re putting their money and personal information at serious risk. The MGCB will not hesitate to intervene when we find operators ignoring our state’s gambling laws.”
