LAS VEGAS – April is a blackjack heavy month with several tournaments taking place at casinos across the country, with grand prizes coming in at as high as $125k for high rollers, down to $10k for casual players.
These are what we think are four of the top legal blackjack events for the month, and they range from South Florida to Las Vegas and in the Midwest in Minnesota.
Hard Rock Doubles Up On Tournaments
Starting in South Florida, the Hard Rock casino in Coconut Creek is offering a $125k head to head tournament series with $10k being paid out to first place each week of the tournament throughout April. The top-30 places in the tournament will earn anywhere between $100 and $2,000 excluding the $10k grand prize.
You’ll need to RSVP online through the online players account. Unity X members are eligible for five total entries.
Now heading to the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi, starting on April 11, they’ll host a $25k prize pool blackjack tournament at a $150 initial buy-in and $100 unlimited rebuys until 3:00 p.m. that day.
The tournament begins on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and will conclude Saturday, April 12, at noon. First place will win $15,000, with $5,000 to second, and $1,000 to third through seventh place.
Running Aces Free Roll Tournament
For Minnesota blackjack players, the Running Aces Casino in Columbus has their $25k free roll tournaments taking place on April 12th, 19th, and 26th. This is a free entry tournament with one extra entry allowed for $20, where an extra $2,100 in tournament chips is gifted as well. Payouts for the prize each week are as follows:
- 1st: $1000 + 50% of Add-on prize pool + Entry into TOC
- 2nd: $500 + 35% of Add-on prize pool + Entry into TOC
- 3rd: $250 + 15% of Add-on prize pool + Entry into TOC
- 4th: $100 + Entry into TOC
- 5th: $50 + Entry into TOC
- 6th: $50 + Entry into TOC
- 7th: $50 + Entry into TOC
Golden Nugget’s Big Time $100k Tourney
The Blossom’s & Benjamin’s blackjack tournament at Golden Nugget is running from April 24-26 with $100k in total prizes being paid out. It’s a $500 entry fee with $50k going to first place.
Registration is open from 4 pm-7 pm on that Friday, which is also the time of their promo chip drawing for all participants.
