SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Just outside of Sacramento, at the Hard Rock Casino in Yuba City, a blackjack player triggered a massive $587,317 progressive jackpot win on just a $5 side bet.
The progressive legal blackjack jackpot was hit while playing the $5 Triple Diamond progressive side bet.
Within a 36-hour span at the Hard Rock Yuba City, two additional blackjack players playing the Double Diamond side bet hit jackpots as well, with one for $5,733 and the other for a whopping $56,347. All of the jackpot hits also happened at the same blackjack table. The time stamp of the $587k jackpot hit was 1:25 p.m. on Sunday, March 1st.
“We love when a guest can enjoy an extra special weekend and walk away with a major jackpot that can be impactful and life-changing,” said Mark Birtha, president of the casino. “We certainly hope it made for a memorable visit.”
What Is The Triple Diamond Blackjack Side Bet?
The main objective of the Triple Diamond Progressive blackjack side bets are based on the “7s” that are drawn. Playing the side bet, there are six possible hands that could trigger a payout:
- Any “7”: 5 to 1
- Two Unsuited “7s”: 25 to 1
- Two Suited “7s”: 250 to 1
- Three Suited “7s”: 1000 to 1
- Three Diamond “7s”: Triggers Progressive Jackpot
