DES MOINES, Iowa – With $4 million in earnings from blackjack tables, Iowa's casino sector celebrated a successful September 2025. Across 158 active blackjack tables, processing over $20.3 million in total drop, the state's average revenue percentage was 19.65%.
This consistent efficiency highlights steady consumer engagement and returns for Iowa blackjack and its gaming market.
Leading the state in blackjack revenue was Prairie Meadows Racetrack & Casino, which brought in $542,327 from 15 tables, per the report for September. Horseshoe Casino Council Bluffs, operating the most tables at 20, followed with $444,666.
Despite running just three tables, Ameristar II Casino earned $407,294, backed by the second-largest table drop in Iowa at $2.8 million.
The efficiency of each location differed greatly. The Catfish Bend Casino in Marquette, which only had two tables, had the highest casino win rate at 26.82%. The efficiency of Diamond Jo Worth and Hard Rock Casino was 27.14%. Eleven tables brought in $356,197 for Hard Rock, while nine tables brought in $174,379 for Diamond Jo.

The three Wild Rose properties in Clinton, Emmetsburg, and Jefferson collectively earned $118,894 from legal blackjack across 13 tables. Harrah’s Council Bluffs posted $255,969 from eight tables, with an efficiency rate of 25.62%. Riverside Casino and Golf Resort matched that revenue total with 13 tables in operation.
