Monopoly Blackjack Hits London Casino Floors in UK Debut

  • Monopoly Blackjack Progressive debuted at four London casinos as the UK's first Monopoly progressive table game.
  • Mr. Monopoly randomly appears to award 10x multipliers and progressive jackpots during play.
  • Evolution is buying Galaxy Gaming for $85 million, closing mid-2026.

LONDON – Galaxy Gaming has officially launched Monopoly Blackjack Progressive across several premier casino locations in London, marking the first time Monopoly-branded progressive table games have entered the UK market. The game is now available at Metropolitan Mayfair, Empire Casino, The Sportsman Casino, and Park Lane Club.

The Monopoly brand is now available in casino table games thanks to a collaboration between Galaxy Gaming and Metropolitan Gaming. Galaxy Gaming has the exclusive right to create and market table games with a Monopoly theme for physical casinos thanks to an exclusive licensing arrangement with Hasbro.

Mr. Monopoly, who emerges at random during hands to award multipliers of up to 10x, is a feature of Monopoly Blackjack Progressive that alters normal blackjack. Targeting both seasoned gamers and those experimenting with various blackjack variations, the progressive jackpot function offers an extra payment structure beyond standard blackjack returns.

Partnership and Market Expansion

Galaxy Gaming's Matt Reback talked up the collaboration with Metropolitan Gaming that brought these tables to casinos around London. Over at Metropolitan Gaming, Alex Oswald said rolling out this game fits what they're trying to do with bringing new stuff to their floors.

The $85 million buyout of Galaxy Gaming by Evolution is moving forward, with expectations pointing to everything wrapping up around mid-2026. The unique global license for Hasbro's online casino games is held by Evolution. In addition to operating in more than 30 countries, Galaxy Gaming has 28 states with blackjack licenses in the US.

For players seeking legal blackjack options with branded gaming elements, the game is accessible at the four Metropolitan Gaming locations in London. Future expansion will depend on how well these venues perform; the UK launch is the first market entry.

Mixing the Monopoly name with progressive jackpots follows what's happening across casinos lately, using well-known brands on traditional table games to draw in more players.
