UK Blackjack Promos Set To Undergo Changes In 2026

  • The United Kingdom Gaming Commission is set to disallow restrictions on promotions across games in 2026.
  • Promotions will have to apply to a singular game or all games to be permitted.

UNITED KINGDOM – Changes are coming to gaming in the UK in early 2026, as the United Kingdom Gambling Commission announced new rules that are set to be implemented in January of next year.

Essentially, the commission will only allow promotional offers to cover either all games or a singular game. Restrictions on ways to earn a reward or prize cannot be made unless it applies to only one game, otherwise it must be allowed for all games.

For example, if there is a promotion where players can deposit £15 and get a free £15 hand in blackjack, it must either be exclusive to blackjack or be available for all game modes. It could not be available for both blackjack and poker but not baccarat or other games.

What Does This Mean For Blackjack In The UK?

This is likely a positive for legal blackjack players in the UK, as promotions can be expected to be more inclusive, although less promotions may be offered due to the volume of players across games.

However, mobile blackjack sites not under UK jurisdiction will not be subject to these laws.

This means that there still can be promotions offered on these sites that do not comply with the new UKGC rules set to be put in place in the upcoming year.
