- An October report from RSI showed that 52% of their customer base consisted of women.
- Canadian reports from earlier in the year detailed that women prefer to gamble in person.
- FanDuel had over 1.5 million new female subscribers to their online casinos in 2024-2025.
NEW YORK – Rush Street Interactive's October Investor Presentation detailed that women make up 52% of their iCasino user base. While RSI states there's a large cohort of female slot players, they also make up a bit of the legal blackjack tables too.
Compare that to online sports betting, dominated by men (86%) and it's interesting to see such a disparity in online gaming.
Other notes from the report detail that the average online gambler is 40.3 years old (compared to 37.0 for sports betting), averaging about $350 per year at the casino.
While these numbers are specific to Rush Street, other reports prove a bit of the same. Canadian gambling statistics show that women are twice as likely to wager on table games like blackjack as men.
Women tend to gamble in person in Canada (43% online vs 56% for men), with nearly 45% spending between $1 and $20 per month.
However you break down the numbers, the mindset is there - women are an increasing part of the online gambling world despite limited marketing toward them. But, FanDuel and other blackjack casinos are starting to change that.
Last Monday, FanDuel announced Lady Luck HQ would be joining as an ambassador. With over one million YouTube subscribers, she's the most popular female slots influencer online.
However, Lady Luck HQ will help FanDuel release blackjack bonuses, talk about responsible gambling habits, and be the headliner at a few events put on by FanDuel.
With 1.5 million new FanDuel sign ups over the last year, there’s no surprise as to the emphasis on this decision.
