HIGHLAND, Calif. – It’s a massive weekend full of blackjack at the Yaamava' Resort & Casino with two major tournaments set across three days from October 16-18 with $350k.
Both legal blackjack tournaments combined are offering the $350k in total prizes. The first tournament is set to be played on Thursday, October 16, and that will be for a $50k grand prize, while the big tournament for a $300k grand prize is a two day event from Friday, October 17, to Saturday, October 18.
Each blackjack tournament will take place at Pit #6 near the Pines Modern Steakhouse on the ground floor of the casino. There will be limited tournament entries, and will be a first come, first serve basis, with the entry fee for both of them running at $200.
There will also be an unlimited amount of re-buys into the tournament in the preliminary round, however, the opening round will be capped at 288 players.
As far as the layout in both tournaments, there will be preliminary, semifinal, and a final round played. The top 18 players with the highest chip count will move on to the semifinal, where three tables of six (18 total players) will compete to advance to the final.
The top two players from each of the three tables in the semifinal will move on to the final table.
$50k Blackjack Tournament Terms
The $50k tournament will begin taking registration on Thursday, October 16, between 5-7 pm, with the tournament running from 5:30-10 pm. The grand prize will be offered in either $50k in casino chips or $25k in cash.
$300k Tournament Terms
Registration for the $300k tournament will take place between 5-9:30 with the preliminary round starting at 5:30 pm. The grand payout will be offered as $300k in casino promo chips or $150k in cash.
Post Tournament Bonus Drawings
At the end of each tournament, there will be bonus drawings where the casino will be giving out a total of $10,000. Excluding the winners of the blackjack tournaments, there will be five names drawn for a chance to win $1,000 in casino chips.
