- The Silver Dollar Casino is slated to close in June 2026.
- Maverick Gaming filed for bankruptcy.
SEATAC, Wash. – In some unfortunate news out of the Pacific Northwest, it has recently been announced that the Silver Dollar Casino in SeaTac, Washington, will be closing by the end of June.
The umbrella company of the legal blackjack casino, Maverick Gaming, announced that it was filing for bankruptcy, which comes from a restructuring in the company.
With the restructure of the Washington blackjack casino, it is expected that around 65 employees of the establishment will be out of a job by late June. That’ll include blackjack dealers, amongst other table games, chefs, and security guards.
There was an attempt to close the casino back in December of 2025, which was delayed due to the bankruptcy and a search for a sale of the actual casino property.
What Now For SeaTac Blackjack Players
Without blackjack in the SeaTac area, which is considered to be a part of the greater Seattle area, players in the area can now turn to about five other casinos in the area that host blackjack tables. These are the five casinos that fall under the greater Seattle area that have blackjack:
- Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel
- Muckleshoot Casino Resort
- Fortune Casino
- Goldie's Shoreline Casino
- Great American Casino
Each of these Seattle blackjack casinos are under an hour drive away from the city and has live blackjack games to go with side bets, as well as plenty of different variations of the game that can be played.
